Welcome to 1st Grade!

Parents and Cowpokes--welcome to our classroom!! I'm hoping this website will help us keep connected and updated on all things Cowpokes!! It is my intention to post class happenings, as well as homework assignments and announcements on this site. I'll also post pictures of our kids when they earn an award or celebrate a birthday. I encourage you to become a "follower" of this blog.

I want you to feel completley at ease while your child is in my care this year; therefore, let me tell you a little about myself! I started teaching in 2002 here in FISD. I helped open Boals Elementary in the fall of 2003, and have seen it go from at one point one of the smallest campuses in the district, to at one point one of the largest! It has been an adventure to be here since the beginning. I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade, and 1st grade is the place for me! I am married to a golf pro and proud mommy to son Tucker (5.5 years) and daughter Presley (17 months), and our newest addition, Carter (2 months). I love to read, get pedicures, and go out to restaurants with friends and family...though with three children that is now proving to be quite a task!!

I will be contacting each of you within the first two weeks of school just to say hello and make sure you have all my contact information. Thank you in advance for sharing your child with me this year. It's going to fly by!
